Queen_-_Lynne_MannoQueen Lynne Manno

Queen Gemini XXIII, was born and raised in Shreveport, LA and has resided in Bossier City since 1987.

She graduated from Captain Shreve High School and continued her education at Northwestern State University.  While at NSU she became a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.

Lynne met the love of her life in 1979, John Manno and they were married in 1982.  John and Lynne are the parents of two wonderful children, Jay 26, the immediate past Duke of Louisiana for Gemini XXII, and Mary 23, a former Princess of Gemini.  Jay went off to college and then returned to work in the family business and Mary will begin graduate school at the University of Texas this fall.

In 1993 Lynne and John joined the Krewe of Gemini - and that’s when their Mardi Gras story began.  In addition to serving as Consort and then First Mate to her husband John when he was King and then Captain, Lynne proudly served as the Duchess of Louisiana for Gemini IV.  She says it is through the Krewe that they gained many wonderful, lifelong friends and have enjoyed more special and unique events than most people will experience in a lifetime.

An avid sports fan, Queen Lynne enjoys attending and cheering for the LSU Tigers, the NSU Demons and her beloved New Orleans Saints.  Fall is her favorite time of the year.  In her spare time our Queen enjoys reading, working out and being a huge animal lover, taking care of way too many dogs.  Yep!  There are seven of them!!
