Duke of Arkansas XXVII - Jamey Purdy

Duke of Arkansas XXVII, Jamey Purdy was born and raised in Minden, LA on February 27, 1977, so he is a Mardi Gras season baby.  He is a 1995 graduate of Glenbrook High School in Minden.  After high school, Jamey attended Louisiana Tech University where he majored in Business Management and Entrepreneurship.  Jamey also attended Northwest Louisiana Vocational College where is specialized in Drafting and Design.  He is currently employed at McElroy Metal where he is a Technical Specialist in the Engineering Department.  He is in his fourth year as a member of the Krewe of Gemini and is a member of Float I.  Being a part of the Krewe of Gemini, he has met and made many new friends and is looking forward to making many more lasting friendships.

Outside of the Krewe, Jamey enjoys hunting, fishing, mud riding with friends, travel, skeet and sporting clays shooting, golf, bowling, football (Texas A&M football and the Dallas Cowboys), live music, comedy shows and cooking.  He is a Life Member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society and Ducks Unlimited.  Jamey would like to thank his family and friends for all their support over the years.  He is honored to have the privilege to serve as the Duke of Arkansas XXVII.
