Duchess of Arkansas XXVII, Mona Vienne is a native of Anacoco, La. She graduated from Anacoco High School in 1991. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Education and Masters of Education from Northwestern State University. Mona began her career in Caddo Parish as a teacher in 1996. She currently teaches American History at Northwood High School. Mona has been in the Krewe of Gemini for 8 years and rides with Float I. She has served as the Prince and Princess Chair, Cocktails with the Captain Chair, a member of Election Committee and the Constitution and Bi-Laws Revision Committee. Mona has also served as a Consort to her husband and Gemini XXI Duke of Arkansas, Matt Vienne. They have four children, Gemini XXIV Prince Chace Vienne; daughter, Makensie; and sons, Zachary and Joshua.
Outside of the Krewe, Mona is a member of the Northwestern State University Alumni Leadership Board, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Tulip Garden Memorial Co-Chair and is blessed to say she is a five year Breast Cancer Survivor, and a member of the Elk’s Lodge #122. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working out with her Camp Gladiator family, and watching football. Mona says the best part of being in the Krewe of Gemini is the lifelong friendships she has made and being a part of such a rich Louisiana tradition. Mona is honored to serve as the Duchess of Arkansas XXVII.
